Staff Sergeant Insignia
Staff Sergeant is the sixth enlisted rank in the Starfleet Marine Corps, and the third Non-Commissioned Officer Rank. Staff Sergeants are the lowest ranking Staff NCOs.
Staff Sergeants typically serve as squad leaders in Infantry Units, and Gun Captains in Artillery Batteries.
